Act The Lib Dem Network

12.02.00am GMT Wed 9th Dec 2009

Last week I joined Act The Lib Dem Network. Act is open to all Liberal Democrat supporters, members and non-members.

So far I have joined some groups and added some friends (people I already knew) but Act can also be used to organise events, watch videos, talk politics and join in campaigns. Apparently over the coming months more features will be introduced.

I'm not sure how successful Act will become and to what extent people will use it as most of the features it currently has are things that can be done on other websites. For example Liberal Democrat supporters and members can join groups on facebook to show support for certain causes and candidates, information about organised events can be shared on sites like facebook and Flock Together. People can watch videos from the Liberal Democrats LibDem's Channel on YouTube.
