Are you registered to vote?

There is just under a fortnight left until 18th April the deadline to get on the electoral register in time for this May's elections.

In Scotland there are elections to Local Councils and the Parliament. In Wales there are elections to the National Assembly and most of England has elections for Local Councils.

These elections will be a chance for people to have their say on a range of key local and national issues such as how many public services are delivered in our local communities and about how some of the taxes we pay are raised and spent.

So please do not miss out on your chance to have your say. If you are not on the electoral register or are not sure and want to check you can visit http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk

http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk also includes information on how to vote by post or to appoint someone to vote on your behalf which can be very useful if you will not be able to make it to the polling station in person on May 3rd.
